What’s on the Horizon for Las Vegas in 2024
There are many new developments and changes coming to Las Vegas in 2024.
This short list features what’s on the horizon for 2024.
The Super Bowl
On Sunday, February 11, 2024, the Super Bowl will be held at Allegiant Stadium.
The Oakland A’s
The A’s are on their way to Las Vegas. Their new stadium is set to be built at the site of the Tropicana Hotel. Plans are in progress for the Tropicana to likely be demolished, and the stadium to be built by 2027.
Ice Age Fossils State Park
A 315 acre new State Park is set to open soon at 8660 N. Decatur Blvd. This park protects an area where fossils from the Ice Age have been found, including those of mammoths, sloths and camels.
Brightline West High-Speed Rail
Construction for the highly anticipated train to Southern California is proposed to begin soon. The length of the rail will be 218 miles and connect to Rancho Cucamonga.
Spiegelworld’s New Developments
Spiegelworld ( the company behind shows like Absinthe, Atomic Saloon Show and the upcoming 2024 Disco-Show ) purchased the small town of Nipton, California in 2023. They plan to reinvent Nipton, by turning it into a circus town in the desert, just an hour south of Las Vegas.
New Mini-Golf at Mandalay Bay
A new miniature golf experience, Swingers, is opening at Mandalay Bay. It will have five courses and span three floors.
Blake Shelton’s Ole Red
Ole Red is a country music venue, bar and restaurant owned by Blake Shelton. Currently, the honky-tonk has locations in Nashville, Tennessee, Florida and Oklahoma. Its newest location will debut on the Strip, at the corner of Las Vegas Blvd. and Flamingo.
The Apex Industrial Park
In the far northeast corner of the valley, The Apex Industrial Park, is proposed to be one of the largest industrial parks on the west coast. A new water pipeline from Lake Mead is being constructed to further develop this area in North Las Vegas. It will eventually become a central hub for manufacturing and corporate warehouses.
