  • The City of Henderson has significantly grown in recent years. With a population of roughly 336,000, Henderson ranks as the second largest city in Nevada. New master-planned communities, such as Inspirada and Cadence, have welcomed thousands of new residents. Henderson has also seen a rise in luxury home communities like Ascaya, where modern estates are situated on the edge of a tiered mountain. One of Henderson’s original planned communities is Green Valley Ranch, which is conveniently located near The District. Throughout the City of Henderson, you’ll find many beautiful parks and mature trees.

  • Summerlin is the largest master-planned community in the Las Vegas area. Unlike Henderson, Summerlin is within the Las Vegas city limits. Spanning over 22,000 acres, this suburb has an abundance of parks and recreational areas for residents to enjoy. There are several gorgeous subdivisions in Summerlin that feature a range of property types, including condos, single family homes and luxury estates in The Ridges. The Red Rock Casino & Resort is located in the heart of Summerlin, across from the community’s downtown center and near the Las Vegas Ballpark.

  • Located in the far southwest corner of the valley, Mountain’s Edge is another planned community that continues to grow. Its main thoroughfare is Blue Diamond, which is lined with multiple shopping centers and new restaurants. Located far enough away from the hustle of Las Vegas, this area is primarily suburban. Its location is ideal for those who like mountain biking or hiking, as Red Rock Canyon is easily accessed from Mountain’s Edge.

  • Centennial Hills is an area in northwest Las Vegas, comprised of different neighborhoods, but it’s not an official master-planned community. This suburban area is known for the lovely Floyd Lamb Park, that’s an oasis for wildlife, with a large pond and horse trails. It’s also not far from Mount Charleston, the mountain escape for Las Vegas locals. The planned community of Sky Canyon is just a short distance further north on the I-95, and has grown significantly in recent years.

  • The City of North Las Vegas is booming with new development, including a variety of neighborhoods and businesses. The area is becoming a hub for new industrial complexes that have become distribution centers for companies like Amazon. The city continues to find innovative ways to grow at a steady pace, while also providing the right amount of new housing options. The planned community of Aliante, is especially popular among military families, for its close proximity to Nellis Air Force Base.

  • Lake Las Vegas is unlike any other planned community in southern Nevada, because it was built around a man-made lake that is supplied by Lake Mead. The development began around the early 1990s, with the Montelago Village opening in 2003. Cobblestone streets, artisan boutiques and restaurants, are reminiscent of an Italian village. Two luxurious golf courses weaving along the water’s edge, further add to the remarkable setting. While located in the City of Henderson, Lake Las Vegas seems like a world away, yet is close enough to all amenities. In recent years, the community has grown even more, and many celebrities have made this desert oasis their home.

  • Silverado Ranch is a neighborhood in between Henderson and Las Vegas. It’s densely populated, with an array of shopping, restaurants and housing communities. Conveniently located close to South Las Vegas Boulevard, it’s a great choice for those who want a mix of the suburban and city lifestyles.

  • Downtown Las Vegas has an eclectic versatility in housing, ranging from high-rise lux condominiums to vintage neighborhoods. Some of the oldest homes in Las Vegas are downtown, but many of these relics have been renovated to reflect a more modern vibe. Downtown Las Vegas continues to evolve through time, and now boasts a more artistic influence than ever before. If you’re a Ghost Adventures fan, Zak Bagans renovated an old mansion in a downtown neighborhood and turned it into a haunted museum.

  • Located to the west of the I-15 freeway, off Rancho Drive, these classic Vegas neighborhoods are renowned for not only their storied history, but their famous residents, including; celebrities, casino moguls and mobsters. The Scotch Eighties neighborhood was the first planned community in Las Vegas and development began in the 1950s. Most of the original properties are ranch style estates, on large lots, with mature trees and manicured lawns. The nearby Rancho Circle and Rancho Bel-Air both originated in the mid-twentieth century and are known for their exquisite custom homes.

  • The Lakes is a planned community in west Las Vegas, surrounding a man-made lake. Within the community are single family homes, condos, townhomes and commercial centers. The lake may only be used by homeowners, but some of the lakefront properties feature their own boat docks for small watercraft.

  • Boulder City is a charming small town with an incredible history. Founded in 1931, it was originally established for those working at the Hoover Dam. The historic downtown is quaint, with several antique stores, restaurants and taverns. One of the area’s highlights is Hemenway Park, where Bighorn sheep wander freely overlooking Lake Mead.
